Are Chia Seeds Keto Friendly?
Yes! They are a really great keto and low carb staple. At first glance, people see that chia seeds contain about 12 carbs per serving (2 tablespoons) and assume they aren’t keto friendly. Look a little further down the nutrition facts and see that 11 of those carbs are fiber. There is only one net carb per serving, making them a great option! Chia seeds are a nutrition powerhouse because they’re fiber rich and loaded with healthy omega-3 fatty acids, minerals and antioxidants. The high fiber in chia seeds is really great when you’re on a low carb diet because often you can become fiber deficient.
